Since 1986, STAR Education has provided supplemental educational services such as assemblies, science curricula and teachers, math and reading tutorial services, art curricula, teacher in-services and special events for elementary schools throughout California. STAR also provides much-needed services for families such as extended school day programs, enrichment classes and parenting programs.
- Star provides educational programs for over 40 school districts throughout California, servicing over 1.5 million children annually including those from low-income families who are eligible for tutorial service scholarships.
- In addition to being the state’s largest provider of Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), STAR is California State Board of Education approved and a selected statewide provider of supplemental educational services through the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
- In the 2006-2007 school year alone, STAR provided thousands of children with free services, amounting to $5 million in scholarships.
