HEY SKATERS, Time to Drop In and Ollie Up for this outstanding opportunity to create something totally unique and fun. Students get to work with professional artist, designer and amateur skater, Dick Wollery and friends for 3 afternoons of creative skate fun. Skaters will create their very own personalized skateboards using a choice of mediums. (Trux and wheels not included). Skaters learn the history of skating, skate culture and music and watch some cool skate videos while hanging with like minded friends. Skaters also learn about the real science behind the making of a skateboard…how to apply math, environmental science and engineering skills as well as artistry as they design their own graphics and paint their boards. Last day of class (July 9th), skaters will bring their own riding board, helmet and pads, and meet at the Maidu Skate Park for skating instruction and fun. Students must wear a helmet and pads while skating…ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS! STAR Enrichment will provide waters and a snack on skate park day.
*Please note that skateboarding is not allowed on the Greenhills School campus.
